When nothing else my vet recommended worked to put weight on him, I decided I was willing to try any promising home/alternative remedy that was 1) easy and inexpensive to obtain 2) easy to administer, and 3) posed no risk to the cat (even if it failed to help). One of them came to me as a former stray with a long-standing Tritrichomonas infestation he had lost a lot tof weight, and failed to regain it many months after the the Tritrichomonas was dealt with. I bought this as a nutritional suppement for my cats. I'm going to have to put this on auto ship. My old dog loves that I use beef or chicken stock, gelatin and make stock jello that I chill and cut into cubes for him. ![]() It fills me up without excessive cost or calories. ![]() A little broth, gelatin, an egg and a few frozen veggies for color and flavor and lunch is ready in a few minutes in the microwave. I made egg drop soup and added this for protein, thicknener and collagen. A friend made some hot pepper jelly and I dropped a spoonful of that in the gelatin and hot good. I'm even using a cup or two as a meal replacement when I'm busy. I mix 3 teaspoons (one tablespoon) in hot water with a bit of bullion for a tasty beef or chicken broth that is relaxing and satisfying. I do prefer it hot like an evening soup to keep me full through the night without adding carbs. ![]() I had GI issues that this has greatly relieved much of the symptoms. So many times I heard them recommend to patients to drink a cup of hot jello every night for the rest of their lives. I work in a hospital and we had some visiting Asian physicians for a few months. I am glad I found this quality of gelatin at this price. ![]()
